August was another record setting month for traffic. Hoping this trend continues for awhile it keeps me motivated knowing that more and more people are reading The Canadian Finance Blog!
I wrote my first two guest posts, both for bloggers that helped bring attention to this site in it’s first couple months. The first was for The Financial Blogger and was titled Improve Your Productivity By Organizing Your Home Office. Moolanomy accepted my second article, Advance Your Career Through Networking. Pinyo, the writer behind Moolanomy, also provided The Canadian Finance Blog with it’s first guest post, Avoiding Fees Is Smart Finance. If anyone else would like to guest post on The Canadian Finance Blog, please contact me through the Contact page or on Twitter.
I also had some great interactions in August with Flexo from Consumerism Commentary. From conversations with Flexo to help promote and bring members to Money Quantum, to him taking the time to let me interview him on this site, he’s been awesome to work with!
We’re still heading towards an updated look to The Canadian Finance Blog, hoping to see what a couple premium themes come out with this month before making a decision. I’ve received some great suggestions on visual improvements as well as some new content ideas. I’ve also talked a bit with Peter from Logos For Websites and Bible Money Matters. He’ll be creating a graphics package for the site, once I nail down some ideas for him. I’m working on a few things right now for when the new site launches, I’ll be sharing more information as we get closer to the day!
