Credit Education Week Canada

Today is the beginning of Credit Education Week in Canada. Credit Education Week focuses on teaching personal finance and money management. The theme this year is Couples and Money.  The event is put on by Credit Canada and Capital One.

The kick off starts this morning in Toronto and includes some of my favorite financial celebrities such as Jim Flaherty, Alison Griffiths, Patricia Lovett-Reid, Jonathan Chevreau and Ellen Roseman. There is also a gala on Wednesday that features Mike Holmes, from Holmes on Homes.

Check out their website, where they have an education area with some great tips and a handy selection of financial calculators. There’s also a couple online quizzes, one on attitudes about money and another on financial communication.

So if you’re in the Toronto area, consider checking out some of the events. And for the rest of Canada, why not use this week as an opportunity to review your own finances and see where they can be improved.

  2. This type of training in Canada is suited these days. We need to manage our resources and be thrifty. But if there are certain ways to save and not go out of our comfort zone, then it would be very good. But if we need to tighten the belt a little bit just to cope up, it will also be good.
